We first opened our doors on January 15, 1985 as Sacramento Beekeeping Supplies! Fred and Nancy Stewart had a vision to provide the community with a place where hobby beekeepers could buy their equipment locally. The Stewarts then began expanding the business to include local honey, bee pollen, candle-making supplies and gift items. As business increased Fred & Nancy soon realized they needed another employee, so their daughter Pam was brought into the business full time. At this point in time Fred was running about 100 beehives and providing pollination services and needed help moving bees so Pam stepped in to help! Well, she loved working with Fred and his bees, plus she was learning everything he knew about beekeeping. During the next decade the business really started to "Buzzzz" and their other daughter, Donna, came on board to help. Then when we moved to our current location, our customer base expanded and we became a retail specialty shop plus a bee supply business. Over the next 35 years, things were changing, like adding multiple varieties of honey, soap-making supplies, pure beeswax candles, lots of "bee-themed" gift items and most recently ingredients and containers for producing your own skin care products! During these many years, Sacramento Beekeeping Supplies has become a staple throughout the Sacramento Valley for people looking for raw and natural bee products along with great customer service. We have also become a destination for our customers to bring their "out-of-towner's" (or anyone visiting our city) to see our unique store. Skip to the year 2021, our bee store family decided to go in a different direction with the business and leave the beekeeping supply part and add a large variety of ingredients to make your own skincare products and packaging for those products. So it only made sense to re-brand ourselves in this new evolving world we are in today. 

As of May 1, 2021, we are now .   .   .   . Sacramento Honey Company, 3 generations strong and with the help of the Stewart's granddaughters, Courtney and Brooklynne Hill, and our most dedicated "worker bees" that help us keep this local small business alive in todays world!
